Fighting at Night

Most people who train at the gun range shoot in daytime lighting conditions, yet statistics have consistently shown that the majority of shootings occur in low-light conditions (mostly between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.).  To be proficient with firearms in low-light conditions, you must become good with techniques and tactics used for weapon-mounted flashlights and handheld flashlights.

Topics Covered:

    • Handgun lighting techniques: Harries and Wilson-Rogers
    • High-speed presentation of your pistol and combat light, starting from your holster.
    • Combat Light search techniques
    • Engaging multiple opponents using a combat light with your weapon
    • Weapon-mounted combat light training
    • Light shield techniques
    • Tactical and Emergency Re-loads in low-light conditions
    • Malfunction Clearances in low-light conditions
    • Low-light door breaching, entry, and room clearing techniques
