Tactical Casualty Combat Care

One of the most overlooked aspects of tactical training is emergency trauma care in a hostile environment. In this course, you will be trained in the current method of the “Care under Fire” phase of Tactical Casualty Combat Care. Combat units are now using this method worldwide. You will also be introduced to elements of the “Tactical Field Care” phase.

    • Directions toward/assessment of an injured partner
    • Preventing additional casualties
    • Distinguishing life-threatening and non-threatening injuries
    • The application of a modern tourniquet

    • Rapid casualty extraction techniques
    • The fastest method for moving a casualty
    • The pros and cons of different casualty extraction techniques
    • Scenario-based Care under Fire drills
    • The application of pressure bandages
    • The application of hemostatic agents
    • The pros and cons of different hemorrhage control methods
    • The use of an IFAK kit (a personal tactical trauma kit)
